Sensory journey of Sri Lanka

Back Back

Considered as a core principle in Buddhism, meditation is closely linked to mindfulness that is fast becoming a hot topic across the world. Known to promote relaxation and well-being, mindfulness links the mind and body and involves paying attention to your breath, feelings and sensations that occur within your body.

Experience Overview

Visit a beautiful house hidden away in Colombo’s suburbs and spend the morning with your host, an experienced yoga teacher who has been living in Sri Lanka for the past 11 years with her family. She will take you through a series of breathing, meditation, exercise and relaxation practices to help you immerse all five senses. Ideal for either the start or at the end of your trip, these activities are designed to help you connect with the sounds, smells, tastes and feelings unique to Sri Lanka.

Managing Expectations

It is important to remember that, whilst they are experts in their field, the people who run or host our experiences are not necessarily used to working in the tourism industry and may not offer the level of service you would find at a five-star hotel. For example, instead of a formal lecture, you may get a relaxed conversation where open discussion is encouraged. All of our hosts are, however, extremely engaging, knowledgeable and passionate about educating visitors about their chosen subject and we have worked with them to ensure that they deliver worthwhile, fulfilling experiences. We welcome feedback, so please let us know what you thought and if you think any improvements could be made to the experiences we offer.
