Set in a beautiful garden of mango trees and palms, the seven-room boutique hotel offers a peaceful haven for guests within easy walking distance of all Galle Fort’s historic sights, restaurants and shops.
While Mango House offers guests personalized services like restaurant and spa bookings and a 24-hour concierge service, the boutique hotel is the only true mid-range hotel in the Fort. WiFi access is free throughout the house.
The property is ideal for the young and funky looking for a dose of colonial elegance with a twist – a bright and breezy ambiance that that offers luxury comforts without the stuffiness of a formal hotel. Mango House is staffed by two maids, two managers, an assistant manager and a night guard.
Decorated in Dutch colonial style blended with contemporary European and Asian themes, each Courtyard Room has a Queen-size four-poster bed with mosquito netting, a desk and a wardrobe. A fan and AC keep guests cool as they relax with all-channel satellite TV or a DVD borrowed for free from our extensive DVD library. Both rooms have en-suite bathrooms, finished in contemporary polished concrete, with a rainforest shower and luxury amenities.
On the second floor, three rooms with French doors open onto private balconies. Guests are welcome to enjoy their breakfast on the balcony with views over the palm trees and antique tiles of Galle Fort rooftops.
Two more adjacent Balcony Rooms are available with a third to the side of the hotel each are decorated in Dutch colonial style blended with contemporary European and Asian themes.
The Family Room
The family room has a mezzanine loft, ideal for families travelling together. The family room has a Queen-size four-poster bed with mosquito netting and a wardrobe. Up the wooden stairs, children sleep on a Queen-size mattress also enclosed by a mosquito net on a frame. Two fans and an AC keep guests cool as they relax with all-channel satellite TV or a DVD borrowed for free from our extensive DVD library.

For lunch and dinner, guests may choose from the menu of Crepe-ology, delivering delicious savory crepes, salads and sweets for guests to enjoy on the Mango House veranda, in the garden or on their private balcony or courtyard.
Fresh fruit juices, teas, coffees and soft drinks are served throughout the day and evening until around 11pm.
