Staying on the borders of the park is an unforgettable experience which allow you to enjoy the remarkable beauty of these wildlife reserves. Sri Lanka’s parks boast a stunning array of wildlife. In addition to being one of the few parks that has the highest density of leopards in the world, it also has sambar, spotted and barking deer, water buffalo, sloth bears, abundant birdlife, butterfly swarms, iguanas, mongooses, fishing cats, wild boar, monkeys and crocodiles.
Neol Rodgrio’s Leopard Safaris use customised Toyota Land Cruiser for the game drives which can handle every kind of terrain, give an excellent view, and are specially fitted with camera support points for photographers.
The campsite is located 15 minutes from the Katagamuwa entrance and offers tents with single, double, twin, triple occupancy and four family tents that can accommodate regular and large families. They also have a newly built Luxury Lodge for those who seek ultimate comfort in the the wilderness. The tents are furnished with queen sized beds, fresh linen, hot and cold showers and flush-able toilets.
During the course of a day there are many things of interest for the whole family, whether looking out over a waterhole at breakfast, snoozing in a hammock after lunch or star gazing over dinner.
Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris operates on an all-inclusive basis offering tented accommodation, two game drives per day in a customized vehicle accompanied by an experienced guide, snacks and drinks on game drives, all meals at camp, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and all park entry fees. If guests are interested in going on a private game drive accompanied by a naturalist an additional supplement is applicable.
There is a large family-sized tent, which can sleep up to six people. Triple, double or single beds can be arranged depending on your needs.
