Sri Lankan architect, Channa Daswatte, the boutique hotel has been built with the concept that the majestic Sigiriya rock serves as the background image.
The 30 villas categorized as Standard, Deluxe and Duplex, are scattered across 35 acres amidst greenery and a variety of waterbodies. The reception is an open area furnished with chairs affording an uninterrupted view of the Sigiriya rock. The area is connected to the restaurant and bar through a narrow pathway flanked by two lakes on either side. The twin level bar is located adjacent to the pool, while the restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating is on the furthest corner from the pool.
The Standard villa has a well-appointed sitting area with contemporary furniture, while the bedroom has a king-size four poster bed with soft linen and mosquito net. The ensuite bathroom is spacious and fitted with a stand-alone bath and a separate shower cubicle. The villa has a private terrace with garden chairs overlooking the water garden.
The Deluxe villa has the same layout as a Standard villa, with the addition of a plunge pool with a jacuzzi and wooden deck with sunbeds overlooking the landscape.
The Duplex villa has a dining area in addition to a sitting area and has two bedrooms – one on the ground floor and the Master bedroom on the first floor with an undisturbed view of the Sigiriya rock. It also has a plunge pool with a jacuzzi, a private terrace and a large balcony on the first floor.
