8 Nights / 9 Days.
Golf Courses you play at:
The Victoria Golf and Country Resort
The Nuwara Eliya Golf Course
Depending on what time your flight arrives you may need an extra night at the beginning near the airport or an additional night at the end in Colombo. We will gladly advise you.
One way getting to the golf course very quickly is by Sea Plane. Sri Lankan Airways operates a daily flight from Colombo to Kandy leaving Colombo at 7.00 AM and arriving at 07.30 AM and returning at 07.50 AM, arrving in Colombo at 08.20 AM. We strongly recommend taking this flight one way or the other. Another option is to charter the plane which can land and take off from the lake at Victoria. Sri Lanka In Style has the best charter rates in the market.
The price is available upon Request. Rates vary depending on the time of the year and the number of people travelling. Email us if you are interested in this particular itinerary. Let us know when you would like to travel and how many rooms you need in each hotel. We will send you a detailed itinerary with day to day descriptions, lots of tips and ideas to make the most of your time on and off the course, and competitive price for the trip.
Is this trip for you?
We designed this trip for a solo traveller, a couple or a group of friends. You could bring your family along, the trip is child-friendly. On this specific itinerary we are recommending Clingendael which is the most up-market option at Victoria. However there are many options for accommodation with prices ranging from 150 USD per night to 400 USD per night.
Aside from Golf these are some of the locations within the vicinity of the The Victoria Golf and Country Resort which can be visited.
|Kandy||Kandy is one of the spiritual hearts of Sri Lanka. Wander around the Royal Botanical Gardens, get lost in the streets and markets and join the pilgrims as they worship the tooth relic of Buddha at the sacred Temple of the Tooth. Attend the spectacle of Kandyan dancing.|
|Nuwara Eliya||Visit the Horton Plains national park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Take a long walk and stand on the edge of a precipice at World’s End to admire the views down the valley. Also enjoy an afternoon stroll around Gregory’s Lake and stop for some fresh strawberries on your way.|

This unique one week trip around the island, incorporating the best golf courses with the best sites and experiences is a golfer’s dream.
You will travel from Negombo to the award-winning Victoria Golf Course, close to Kandy, set beside a reservoir with spectacular views of the Knuckles Mountain Range. While in Kandy combine golf with guided visits to some of Kandy’s most interesting sites including the Temple of the Tooth and the Botanical Gardens.
When ready for a change of terrain travel to the cooler climes of Nuwara Eliya and play golf on one of Asia’s oldest courses. Step back a hundred years into a world of 19th century character and charm. Country homes, log fires in the evening, mountain views – you could be in Switzerland! We take you to visit one of Sri Lanka’s oldest tea plantations with a resident planter who will provide interesting insights into the growth and manufacture of tea – Sri Lanka’s most famous crop.
From Nuwara Eliya we travel to Colombo. Finish off in style with a few rounds at the Royal Colombo Golf Club and combine golf with the charms of the city – taking a walk on Galle Face Green at sunset, exploring the old Pettah bazaar district, visiting art galleries and enjoying the handful of excellent restaurants.

In Kandy you will stay in Clingendael house at Victoria Golf Club. For a contrast, and a step back in time, we have chosen Jetwing Warwick Gardens in Nuwara Eliya, a unique planter’s house characterised by old world charm and quaint details.
Whilst in Colombo you will stay at the famous Galle Face Hotel, one of the oldest hotels in the country. Enjoying a sunset drink on the chequerboard veranda is a must after a hard game of golf.
