Start your five night holiday with three nights at one of the five luxurious Ceylon Tea Trail bungalows where old-world charm meets with modern living. Savor some of the finest meals, sample world-renowned flavors of Ceylon tea during your visit to the tea factory and enjoy guided nature treks with the in-house naturalist during your stay at the former plantation bungalow. Then transfer to Galle Fort and check in at Fort Bazaar, a contemporary boutique hotel influenced by the Portuguese era. This seven night itinerary highlights the breath-taking tea plantations in the Hatton and Dickoya region and the sandy shores in Weligama bay located on the southern tip of the island. Begin your holiday from Wallawwa, a colonial styled boutique hotel located close to the airport so you could recover from jetlag. From there travel to the panoramic highlands in the central part of the island, enjoy the cold climate and take in the serenity of the lush tea plantations that stretch for miles. Stay at the Ceylon Tea Trails, the first Relais & Chateaux resort in Sri Lanka where you can experience a similar lifestyle to that of the planters that used to occupy these former planter’s bungalows. Afterwards journey to Weligama, in the southern tip of the country where you will be received by warm weather, blue waves and sandy shores. During your stay, go on a trek to the Kanneliya rainforest in the south with a naturalist and explore the unique bio-diversity in the area and afterwards have lunch by a lake. Spend the next day learning to cook a traditional family dish with a 4th generation Galle Fort family and end the evening with a walking tour around the Fort.

These former planter’s bungalows have been refurbished maintaining classic appeal while blending in with contemporary style to give you an insight to the regal days of the raj. Transfer to the Deep South and check in at Chena Huts, a boutique hotel bordering the buffer zone of Yala, the second largest national park in Sri Lanka. Appease the wildlife enthusiast in you by spotting the famed Sri Lankan leopard, mugger crocodiles among other species the national park is known for.
