Why Talalla Retreat?

Founded by a group of avid yoga practitioners in 2005, Tallala Retreat is a 32 suite boutique hotel and yoga retreat set on the western tip of one of the most beautiful beaches in southern Sri Lanka, Talalla beach.

The emphasis is on envigorating your body and soul; Yoga, Tai Chi, martial arts, detox, dance are all informally practiced. The Spa at Talalla Retreat offers a variety of different massages, therapies and treatments. Tallala is also ideal for those simply wishing to rest, swim, surf and breathe amongst nature.

Accomodation comprises of eight two-storey villas set in landscaped gardens. Each villa has four bright and airy bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. Every room has its own private balcony or veranda.

Facilities include a massage centre and yoga pavilion, and open-air restaurant and a large swimming pool in the center of the gardens.

The word "Tallala" translates as "one seed in an open palm" in the Sinhala language.

Our favourite room is the one next door to Zachs, the manager, ask him all about it!

You will leave Talalla with two new best friends, the Tsunami puppies Thunder and Strider!

Talalla Beach is approximately 1.5 hours south of Galle and 1 hour west of Tangalle.
