Amangalla has 29 rooms divided into four room types, all of which offer the very best in comfort and style. Each have an elegant colonial design that is enhanced by original NOH antiques or beautifully crafted reproductions that include either twin or king-size four poster beds dressed with crisp white imported linen, pettagama chests, writing desks, rattan planters chairs and fascinating prints (most of them old) on crisp white walls. The contemporary bathrooms are decorated in hardwood and white and feature free-standing bathtubs, twin vanities beneath large wooden framed mirrors, a shower room, spacious armoire and plenty of deliciously scented toiletries including holiday essentials such as sun cream and after sun.

	Bedrooms(10)
	Seven of these comfortable rooms are located on the ground floor of the Middle Street Wing and benefit from beautiful garden or magnificent Dutch Church (Grooke Kerk) views from characteristically arched and shuttered windows. The bedroom and bathroom are almost similar in size while the furnishings stand atop polished jackwood floors. A further three bedrooms lie within Amangalla’s mature gardens having French windows that open onto a private terrace that provides easy access to the pool!

	Chambers(10)
	Six Chambers are located in the Church Street Wing – above the Zaal and opposite the fort ramparts. These rooms are much more spacious by design and have a large bedroom with a separate sitting area as well as beautiful arched windows through which to marvel at the views. Four Garden Wing Chambers are scenically located overlooking the treetops of the hotel’s beautiful garden, the panorama of which can even be enjoyed from the bathtub. Shuttered French windows open onto either a balcony or twin porch.

	Suites(8)
	While six suites are located in the Church Street Wing, a further two are situated in the Middle Street Wing and overlook either the ancient trees, fort ramparts, Dutch Church, Galle Harbour or beautifully tendered gardens. Suites are beautifully spacious and feature original polished teak floorboards and a separate cosy lounge area.

	The Garden House
	This exclusive two-storey retreat is hidden in the frangipani scented garden, just a stone’s throw from the swimming pool. All of the antique furniture inside the house is original and has been beautifully and carefully restored. On the ground floor is a fully-furnished sitting room which leads through double doors to the bedroom and spacious en-suite bathroom while an internal stairway rises to a first floor furnished with relaxing daybed and banquette. Guests staying here have the exclusive use of their own private butler.

Notes:

Rates are subject to statutory levy of 14.32% plus service charge of 10%.

Supplementary cost of transportation from Bandaranaike International Airport to Amangalla: US$175++ per car each way.

Rates and government tax are subject to change without notice.

A minimum of four nights stay is required for bookings made from 28 - 31 December 2010.

Amangalla Booking Terms

Payments:A deposit equivalent to 25% is payable to Sri Lanka In Style when you confirm your booking. This deposit is taken on behalf of the property and is required to secure the accommodation. Our internet payment gateway accepts Visa and Mastercard. There is a 2.5 surcharge on credit cards. The balance is due on departure.

Cancellations:The initial deposit is non refundable. All cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are subject to two night cancellation charges plus taxes. During the peak season all cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are subject to two night cancellation charges plus taxes. We strongly advise clients to take comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation.
