This villa is part of a 28 acre estate, the top of which boasts a commanding view of the town, Knuckles Range and Kothmale hills.
Mount Havana’s exterior speaks volumes of honest eco tourism; a herd of Jersey cows graze in one section of an impressive plantation on which tea, timber and everything in between is grown, making it a self sufficient boutique hotel that produces vegetables, spices, coffee, methane cooking gas and soon, milk. As for the villa’s interior, a handful of elements like cut polish cement, rich dark timber, contemporary art work and fine linen are combined for minimalist ambience and simple, yet luxurious comfort.
The villa’s front terrace opens out to a pool in a beautifully unpretentious manner, and makes a lovely spot for an early evening drink. All in all, the villa makes a great lodge for doing next to nothing; ideal for lazy romantic weekends or as a place of Zen for the busy explorer.
The modern, candle-lit bathrooms have a rainwater shower, tub and Spice Island designer brand of toiletries.
