You will meet your tracker and driver who will take you on a 2.5 to 3-hour game drive into the national park. The abundant wildlife at Kumana National Park and its extensive flora are supplied water by the Kumbukkan Oya, which borders the park’s western region and 200 hectares of mangrove swamp called “Kumana Villu”. The Villu provide the ideal feeding and resting habitat to the migratory birds. While on safari, watch out for the elephants, spotted, and sambhur deer who are quite active around watering holes like the Kumana Villu swamp, and also in pockets of lush foliage.
