Set beside a sliver of sand spiked with stilt-fishing sticks close to surf-friendly Ahangama, this homely four-bedroom villa celebrates its proximity to the ocean in every room with uncluttered interiors and wide picture windows and folding doors which provide panoramic sea views. There is also a raised lounge area which has a stunning view of the beach. The villa has a contemporary design and minimalistic interiors, and is decorated in a range of soft, earthy shades. The villa sleeps a maximum of 8 guests in four spacious air-conditioned double-bedrooms, each of which have sweeping views of the ocean. On the ground floor is one room with access to the pool, whilst on the first floor leading off from a central lounge are two split-king bedrooms and a second double. Beyond the villa’s long veranda is an emerald lawn dotted with palm trees and sun-loungers and a swimming pool complete with Jacuzzi jets and a separate paddling pool for children. There is also an outdoor pavilion furnished with benches which doubles up as the ‘spa space’, a living area with flat-screen cable TV and DVD player and a dining area. You can dine either at the formal indoor table, on the upper balcony or on the lawn beneath the stars.
