Ivory House takes inspiration from old Dutch colonial architecture combined with a simple, contemporary aesthetic – a fusion of old and new. This 70-year old property features a newer extension, but it blends seamlessly with the rest of the property – it has been renovated with care and attention to detail. Ivory House, located on the edge of a rural village 3km inland from beautiful beaches and just 20 minutes from Galle, was designed to maximize the views of the surrounding rice paddies and the cooling breeze which comes from the valley. It has a large garden with a pool facing the lush green rice paddies and is an incredible tranquil and escapist spot: farmers work the paddy fields; dogs bark; children laugh… this is village life at its purest. The four-bedroom villa features a beautiful spacious sitting area, indoor/outdoor dining options and a large 20-meter pool.
